The early Super Bowls were dominated by a small number of teams with only nine different franchises appearing in the first 10 Super Bowls and these early games included the New York Jets surprise win over the Baltimore Colts (then touted as the greatest Team in NFL history) .
During this early period Green Bay, Miami and Pittsburgh won 2 each and Miami and Minnesota appeared in 3 finals each.
Super Bowl I was the only final not to be a sell out with people complaining about the $12 price tag placed on the tickets and the attendance at 61,946 is by far the lowest ever.
